What is CBD?
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a non-intoxicating compound found in cannabis and hemp. We could never ( and would never) say that CBD can treat any ailments, but the cannabinoid is gaining immense popularity over the past few years b/c users report CBD helping with insomnia, anxiety, inflammation, pain, etc. Lucy J’s is not making any promises or diagnoses though 😉
Does CBD get you high?
Absolutely NOT! Most people think about getting couch-locked and hungry when they hear cannabis, but CBD is just one of the many cannabinoids in the plant. The one that gets you lifted is called THC, not CBD. Repeat after me, “CBD will not get you high”.
Does CBD have medical benefits?
We’re far from doctors here at Lucy J’s HQ and we would never prescribe CBD for anything. But, there are a lot of users that report positive benefits treating anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain, etc with CBD. Several
research studies are being performed that can speak to the health benefits more than we ever could, and we suggest doing research and speaking to your doctor if you’re considering CBD as a treatment for anything.
If not for medical reasons, why use CBD?
A lot of consumers supplement with CBD to help with the twists and turns of everyday life. Life gets hard sometimes, and a lot of CBD users reach for a pre roll instead of a beer in the evening. CBD has a lot of relaxing properties, and sometimes it just feels good to decompress and chill out after a long ass day at the office. Lucy J’s CBD pre rolls or CBD hemp flower are both great options to explore.
What are terpenes?
Terpenes are highly aromatic compounds that play such a cool role in all plant life, but we will keep this FAQ focused on the terpenes found in cannabis plants. When you smell the “gas” or “citrus” notes in your favorite CBD hemp flower, you’re smelling the terpenes. They are abundant and help interact with all the powerful cannabinoids in the plant to create the amazing “entourage effect“.
Is CBD hemp flower legal?
Lucy J’s wouldn’t be able to offer such amazing products if CBD wasn’t legal in all 50 states. So no worries! Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill, the classification of hemp changed to allow the processing and manufacturing of this awesome plant. The bill created the important distinction between hemp and cannabis (which is still federally classified as a Schedule 1 drug, unfortunately). As long as the hemp product contain less than 0.3% Delta 9 THC, it is legal in all 50 states. Check your local/state laws for any limitations on ingestion methods, but hemp is federally legal.

Will CBD hemp flower show up on a drug test?
Ding, ding, ding…this is the number one question we get about CBD hemp flower! Sorry to disappoint, but we have to give the safe, responsible answer on this one. Since all cannabis flower (including CBD flower) includes some THC, it is possible that you could fail a drug test after consuming CBD flower. There are only VERY trace amounts of THC in CBD flower (remember less than 0.3%), but if you’re worried about a drug test – steer clear of full-spectrum CBD products and point your attention towards CBD Isolate products with 0.0% THC.
